Needed a pump-out the day before Coronation. Dave was very willing to do the job in a friendly & helpful manner.

No Diesel
Very disappointed got to bidford boat services after reading on the web and narrow boat guides

Thank you for trying to fit me in today with electrical issue! Pump out at £12 took me baca out 10 years to the price then!!

Hired the boat for a family trip for my dads birthday, ages ranging from 5 months up to 70, and what a fantastic day it was!! It was Oct so it wasn’t warm, but we managed to avoid the rain! We took games for the kids but they weren’t needed; the older ones loved helping steer the boat and do the locks!
Dave was extremely helpful, giving us advice on where to moor/turn around, and where we could stop for a drink along the way etc…We stopped at ‘Four All’s’ which was about half way to Stratford.
The boat was bigger than we expected, with a double bed and a bath on board! There is plenty of seating available and kitchen is well equipped, however the kettle does require a lot of patience as it’s gas and takes an age to boil.
We arrived late in the morning (our fault!), however when we returned the boat Dave reduced the price as we hadn’t managed a full day, something that he really didn’t need to do.
All in all I would highly recommend Bidford Boats…….we are already organising our next visit!

Another lovely day on the river, an excellent way for a family chill out.
Enjoyed it so much the first time we had to do it again.
Decided we would have a go at getting to Stratford after having spoke to Dave about what would be a realistic distance to cover. Fortunately it all went to plan, we had a 15 minute Ice cream stop before heading back.
I could see afterwards why we had been told that we would be lucky to get as far up stream as Stratford, only held up at one lock.You could quite easily loose an hour if this went against you.
What did surprise us was how much quicker the journey back was compared to going upstream. Weather once again played its part, glorious Sunday sunshine.

A really enjoyable day cruising toward Evesham and back. Only 3 locks each way so plenty of time to potter downstream to The Bridge and Ferry pub before stopping for a picnic on the way back. Our boat was very comfortable and clean and we felt very safe and David was very relaxed and helpful throughout the process, this service combined with lovely weather made for a day we would strongly recommend, many thanks.

We had a great family day on the day boat Swan. Complete barging novices, on arrival Dave talked us through the important points & stayed with us until the first lock to teach us that before leaving us to it. We went down river to Evesham & back taking a full day - 3 locks (each way) including food stops - we brought our own food and used the well equipped kitchenette on board in knowledge that the pubs are still locked down! Great day, beautiful countryside, it was all easier than we expected, even the locks though there wasn’t much river traffic. All in all great fun & great value - will definitely do it again & highly recommended!

Had a great day on the boat heading upstream towards Stratford. We managed to get past the forth lock and had plently of time to moor up for a picnic before turning around and heading back. Dave the owner is very helpful and will accompany you up to the first lock and show how to operate if you have not done this before. Everything you need on board to cook including a fridge to keep drinks cold. The scenery along the river is fantastic, including the lovely houses along the riverbanks.

Hired a day boat. Dave was very helpful he explained what we should do and off we went. Took tea and coffee had gas to boil the kettle, fridge working and could keep the wine cold. Went towards Stratford on Avon lots for us all to look at along the way. Had a great day out and was blessed with a sunny day.

I hired a boat last week to go out for a day with friends. When it became clear that we were a bit nervous about the locks, Dave came up to the first one with us to make sure we knew what we were doing. Really lovely man, who refused to take any money for putting himself out like this. Boat itself was well kept and had everything we needed for our trip on this very pretty and quiet stretch of river.
