I've been to Durlston many times in my younger years but recently visited there again after many years away. I will always remember the big stone globe and I am pleased to say it is still there. That globe is perhaps the big attraction but the landscaping that has been done to Durlston is lovely and it makes for a lovely relaxing day out.

Nothing to stop you carrying on along the Dorset Coast path towards the likes of Lulworth and Durdle Door too. The views of Poole Bay are beautiful.

Great cliff top views. Well maintained and SAFE path along the coast with woodland and inland options for the return.
A lot of work has been put into the area to make this an enjoyment for all.

Very interesting with lovely views could even see the cliffs of the needles isle of wight. Cafe and toilets available free of charge to look around with lovely coastal walks

Wonderful views and interesting castle

Lovely place to visit whilst visiting Swanage. The castle is rather a series of excellent viewpoints over the bay and towards Old Harry Rocks and Bournemouth. Good paths, steps, ramps and lifts for access. Pay for the car park, but the castle is free entry.

Beautiful country park

We saw the country park in beautiful autumn sunshine. There are beautiful views, woodland walks, wildlife and a great cafe and facilities. t is set on hillside, so expect to go up and down slopes and steps.

Beautiful walk

A useful path takes you from Swanage to Durlston and to the globe. A round tip from Swanage takes about an hour and well worth it.

Much improved

We came here a few years ago, it was lovely back then . But on this visit we found so much improvement, paths cleared and views restored, new seating. The castle totally revamped, exhibitions and shop nice cafe serving good quality food. Lovely walking .
