We had such a great tour given to us by Patricia. She made us feel very welcome from the start and was so passionate about what she does and was generally just a lovely person to chat to! The area is gorgeous and idyllic and makes you want to live there. She was very generous by giving us a tasting of all the vinegars. Such a highlight to our trip to Vignola! We’ll be back next year for more aceto!

We visited a few Acetaie during our trip and this was the standout. Small and quaint, with a strong family tradition. Patrizia is the host and is lovely and passionate. They have excellent produce, you can try at the end. Don't follow google maps, but follow the instructions on her website to find the entrance.

We took a private tour at the farm and Diego, the owner, explained us everything about the vinegar production process, the history of the family business and the difference of traditional balsamico vinegar and aceto di balsamico di modena. We were impressed by his passion and the time he took for us. We were invited to try all different kinds of his vinegar, recepie recommendations included. Diego was super friendly and enthusiastic. What he and his family does is nothing but impressive. If you have the chance, visit their site just outside Vignola. Truly authentic!!

If you’re lucky enough to book a tour of this balsamic specialty maker you are lucky! Wonderful family home, with a lovely tour of their shop and facilities. Gracious hosts and 3 wonderful dogs.

We called the place "last minute" on a Sunday around noon to have a tour in English. The owner was very helpful and even organised a translator! It was very interesting to learn about the Aceto and how it is made. The tasting afterwards was also very nice. A clear recommendation! The tour was free.

Mrs Patrizia is the best host to explain you the process of REAL D.o.p. balsamic vinegar. Her kindness and expertise will conquer your attention during every minute of your visit. We strongly suggest you to meet up with her and get to know the world behind the scenes of DOP Balsamic vinegar making. The end of the visit will be a wonderful vinegar tasting in order to understand the difference with IGT and DOP balsamic vinegar and why its production cost is so high. Diego responded quickly to our e-mail, and we set up a time to meet this very afternoon. Diego's English is very good, and we found that we were able to communicate without a problem. He took us through every step of their balsamic making process. We had many questions to ask, and were engaged in a lively conversation about the similarities between making wine, and making balsamic vinegar. The personal tour answered all of the questions we have always had about the craft of making true balsamic vinegar. Tasting the different grades of balsamic further illustrated what we had learned. Anyone who has an interest in the traditional process should visit this wonderful place.

We visited Acetaia dei Bago as part of a foodie tour out of Bologna. Very nice place, excellent family history and excellent traditional balsamic vinegar. After the tasting, sale pitch was more tminimal and just a very nice family. Well worth visiting but may be difficult to do if not part of an organized tour. That is, I am not sure if you can visit without and appointment and someone that can speak Italian.

We had a tour on a Sunday which was free but rightly we felt the need to buy certain products at the end of the tour. Having said that the balsamic vinegar they produce is so delicious that we would have bought the whole store if possible.
The mother then took us to see their fruit gardens which were amazing and extensive. They grew cherries, apricots, nectarines, peaches and plums.
We thoroughly enjoyed our trip.

We visited this farm to see how the balsamic vinegar is made as part of the Italian days tour. It was so I interesting to learn about how long it takes to make one bottle of balsamic vinegar and how it truly is a passion, as it does not make much revenue. We got to taste the differently aged balsamic vinegar which were all delicious and we ended up buying two bottles. We also got to pick some cherries off of the tree which was also fun and delicious. I would highly recommend visiting, especially with the Italian days tour!
