Great store, I use them for birding supplies. Seed is clear of fillers found in big box store blends. The pole system they sell is a sturdy well built product. The staff is very knowledgeable and extremely helpful.

There's such a choice of items for gardening at Avant Garden & good advice too. I love going there. I always see something I can use or need.

Avante Garden is a lovely gift shop. Lots of unique items from bird houses to wall art to cards and teacups. Worth a pop in if you are in Peterborough!

Shopping at Avant Garden is a joy! As a local, I am there often. There is always something new to see. The selection of greeting cards alone is worth the trip. The cards are astounding....cleverly done....very artistic.
Follow Avant Garden on Facebook or Instagram and you’ll see what’s new. Today I bought a 500 piece puzzle.
If you are a birder, there is no better shop....for feeders and feed....and valuable information.
The selection of merchandise is diverse and unique.
It is a shop to enjoy browsing, to feel welcomed, and to purchase items from local artisans. Prices are excellent!!

I used to call Avant Garden the “bird store“ because that is where I went to get anything I ever needed for feeding the birds. The staff is incredibly knowledgeable. But now I see it is one of the best gift shops in Peterborough. There is something for everyone, in every price bracket, and always of high-quality. And besides being knowledgeable, everyone is friendly and helpful. Now Avant Garden is one of my first go to’s for gifts for any occasion.

I had wanted to go to Avante Garden for some time as it looked very interesting. I was very pleased when a friend and I went hunting for a gift there. The selection is wide and varied, from bird feeding supplies to nature-themed decorations. We bought a lovely coaster for a hand-blown glass purchased elsewhere, and a high quality puzzle.
I saw lots of other things that piqued my interest. I will return again, for sure.
