KFC,,has been saying they can't get White Meat,is that for real or is it to save costs- I ordered a small popcorn chicken( very dry and not very many in container-Got not even a hand full of dry frys & drink was over $10.This will be my last...

Day 5 of our Eastern Ontario road trip and we planned a road stop at Belleville--Quinte Mall in particular--to grab lunch and do a little mall sightseeing. Took the exit at 401 and parked the car at the open parking lot facing N Front St. Quinte Mall itself is a rather small enclosed shopping mall--that is, compared to the likes of Square One and Eaton Centre. But since it does have a few freestanding restaurants and retail stores, bank, liquor store and movie theatre within its site, I guess it could be considered fairly decent size. Public washrooms are located next to the bright and busy food court. We browsed the food options and decided to buy lunch at Asian Gourmet. Afterwards, we explored Quinte Mall, pretty simple to navigate as it is just one level--one counter-clockwise loop and we were back where we started. An indoor train passed us by while we were walking around. There are mall directory maps near the entrances for easy reference.

I know I only rate it a 3 but it does have some good things to offer. The cleaning staff with the hardest in the mall and around the food court. The security is out of shape and old. That needs a gave lift. To many people hangout at this mall that are unemployed. You see them everytime hey are there. The stores are good and the parking is not bad. They could use a bit of a face lift but it's worth a visit.

After 2 1/2 hours of driving it was time for lunch. I didn't have any particular place in mind, and we weren't familiar with the Quinte mall but pulling off the highway at the main entrance to Belleville seems like a sure bet. Immediately after exiting the highway we came upon mall. In fact, I later realized we could see it from the highway.
The mall has everything you could possibly ask for. Every fast food chain is either in the mall or in the surrounding area. During our quick visit we did not spot any fine dining restaurants but I'm sure they exist. We did see mid-level establishments such as Montana's and we saw a number of sports bars. The big box stores are there as well as many specialty shops.
And the gas at the Canadian tire in the mall was $.14cheaper per litre then in Toronto and $.10 cheaper than on the highway 5 minutes away. For our American friends that is US $.40 cheaper for their smaller gallon. All the gas in Belleville is cheaper, apparently always so because of competition from the Tyendinaga Mohawk First Nations Reserve just to the east.

this is the closest mall to where i live and I have no complaints. a variety of stores and for all ages.

This is a fairly large regional mall that serves a large population base. The main anchor store, Sears, has left but the mall has survived and seems to be thriving. Unlike many regional malls, this one does not appear to be suffering from the "empty store front" syndrome and looks to be doing well. There is a small court with the usual selection of mall eateries(A&W, KFC, Tim's, etc.) Good variety of stores is available including a nice game store. Lots of parking available. Entrance is off Bell Blvd.

There was something there for the whole family. A great variety of stores. Plenty to look at. Loved Sam the record man and Sunrise records. Lot's of clothing stores at decent prices.

See all in a warm or cool in the summer , shop till ya drop ... eat what ya whant in the food court . When tour done see a movie right next door on the same property ...

It was a hot summer day and we wanted to stretch our legs but not get too hot so we stopped into the Quinte Mall.
It is you average mall, a couple large stores, lots of women's clothing stores and shoe stores and a food court. It had all the typical stores you would find in any mall.
We went for a walk, did a couple laps around the mall, bought some popcorn and then hit the road.
It was clean, bathrooms were clean.
If you were looking for clothes or doing back to school shopping this would be a good place to go.

How you look at it depends on your perspective. Compared to the malls in the GTA and even Kingston it's small, but for a city the size of Belleville (roughly 50k), it's quite large. More stores seem to be going the strip mall route lately, but there's still a decent selection of stores, a nice food court, and lots of kiosks. How it holds up could be determined by what comes in to replace the recently closed Sears that was one of the anchors.
