This tour was such a treat! Not only was the tour interesting, informative and thorough, but tasting the generous portions of the hams was the best part. The quality and taste are incomparable! And getting to know the family (who speak excellent English) was priceless. Also, the location of this farm is breathtaking! We highly recommend this tour :)

We had a great time learning how prosciutto di Parma is traditionally made at Conti! It's a little far from Parma (about 45 minute drive), but we thought it was worth it. We got to see the different stages of production, the giant rooms where the prosciutto is aged, and enjoy a tasting at the end. We were also able to buy some for the road, although it's freshly sliced so it can only last that day. Conti has both a fun "manufacturing facility" and "family tradition" vibe to it. The tour was long enough to be informative but not too long to make my 14 year old antsy - we both really enjoyed it!

Great meatpackers company. We had a great tour throughout the facility, which seemed very well taken care of. Very modern facility and clean practices. The tasting at the end was delicious.

Drive was a bit far, but absolutely gorgeous and worth it to see the foothills of the Apennines. This is a family, all woman run business! As I had turned out to be the only English speaker at the time, I had an exclusive tour. We toured the facility and went in depth with the process of making, aging and certifying ham. Michaela was awesome at answering all my questions and left me with a profound appreciation for the art and tradition of what they're doing. So many elements make the process so beautiful, regardless of the product. The sacrifice for slow, quality food, the passion for tradition, the challenges now and in the future - all these things provide an incredible perspective I didn't have before the tour. Tasting was lovely and I am so, so sorry we cannot bring home to the US! Highly, highly recommend!

What an incredible visit , the young lady took us in without a reservation and did a wonderful job of showing us around …

Very informative tour where we learned about the production of parma ham. It’s amazing to see the cellar where thousands of legs of ham are hung up to age. And our guide, Michela, is super passionate, explaining and answering many questions we had.

We also had really amazing prosciutto at the end. We only had prepackaged sliced ones before, and freshly sliced prosciutto is just totally different - thin and delicate, and not too dry. We wanted to buy some slices to takeaway but was advised not to, in the summer heat. (They do sell blocks of it, if you are able to slice them yourself)

Also learned interesting facts about the process - one titbit that I got to know of: Parma ham is sold just as that, with very little information of the producer - just the 3 digit code or maybe the name in small font. This is as the quality is controlled, so to an end consumer, you just need to know you are eating parma ham.

Thanks Michela for the amazing tour (and also so kindly helping us with our transport mishap!) (If you are going by bus, so check the timings and days - the bus going up to near the factory doesn’t run everyday!)

As per other reviews, nice to see the hams in different stages. Sadly no action in the production itself so little to see..interesting it was

No doubt you will be impressed by the scale of a commercial meat factory, but aside from lots of hanging hams there is surprisingly little to see. Perhaps the biggest surprise for me was that I was underwhelmed by the final product. I can't see paying to buy this product in a market. Perhaps it's a matter of taste.

Went to visit it as part of our food tour. Clean and tidy facilities. You can see the whole production process. They have a small museum and you can buy some of their products. Didn’t have the chance to sample their prosciutto there.

Enjoyed this tour very much. Small, family run business so you get to walk the production floor and each step of the process. Nice little tasting as well. Unfortunately you cannot bring meat products back into the US so we couldn't buy any but it was excellent. Tour Guide spoke very good English.
