Nusa Penida had always been on my bucket list and this group made my dreams come true. We did an overnight stay on the Island and had a chance to explore both the east and west side with the team. They made sure we visited all the top spots, snapped pictures for us, and even recommended great lunch places. This was my highlight in Bali and Nusa Penida Travels was so easy an amazing to work with from the booking to the moment we got off the fast boat!

First time on Bali we meet him and he was really friendly and great organized person. He organized private fishing for my boyfriend, and day after trip to Nusa Penida for us. Was fantastic because he is honest. Because we trust him, we organized second time on Bali with him. It was private package on our request. He cllect us from Port (speed boat Gili - Bali), he gave us lift to hostel and day after we went for trip (lovely Temples, rice tarrace, copi luvac Coffee, Vulcano, fruit market ect). Great guide and friend. Fully recommended :-) Hello from Ireland our friend - Agata and Rado

If you are looking for a tour company for Nusa this is it. They connect locals with tourist for the best trip. My friends and I could not rave enough about the amazing trip we had!

Just enjoyed an excellent 1 day trip to Nusa Penida island with Nusa Penida Travels. We selected Package 4 so we could enjoy some snorkeling as well as sightseeing. Hotel pick up and transfer to Sanur was all good to catch our fast boat over. Met by our great guide Putu as soon as we got off our boat and he gave us some water and a light snack before taking us to our snorkeling boat which we had all to ourselves.
Travelled by boat to first bay (Gamat Beach) which was a very welcome added extra by our guide as this was not in our itinerary. He joined us snorkeling and quickly helped us find 2 turtles which was awesome. Then to Manta Point where had a close up with a Manta Ray (fantastic). Then to Crystal Bay to enjoy some more excellent snorkeling with our guide over very nice corals, plenty of fish and excellent clear waters. Had a good amount of time snorkeling, never felt rushed, and guide was very nice and helpful.
Met at the beach by Putu who gave us 30 minutes of beach time before driving us 15 min to a very nice place for lunch. Then drive over very rough roads (roads are really bad in many places) but Putu did a great job in navigating them. Arrived at Broken Bay to enjoy awesome views and landscape and Putu was fantastic in taking heaps of photos of us. Then walked around to Angels Billabong. Back in car for another bumpy road trip to Kelingking Cliff Point with its very high (and scary) cliffs and awesome views.
Then quick drink at local cafe before heading back to our boat and back to Sanur after what was a long but very good day. Met off the boat by our shore transport who dropped us back at our hotel.
We were very happy with our day, our guide Putu, our snorkeling boat team, and all other aspects. Thanks very much to all - MATUR SUKSMA

We availed the Day Tour Package 1 (Kelingking Cliff Point, Broken Beach, Angel's Billabong, Crystal Bay) from Nusa Penida travels. Coordination prior to the trip was efficient as they were able to answer our queries. They were able to message me via WhatsApp, one day before the trip, to remind us of the pick up time.
On the day of the trip, it didn't start well because the driver who picked us up from the hotel didn't provide clear instructions on what to do when he dropped us off at Sanur port. Luckily, staff from the boat company was kind enough to assist us for the registration and boarding the fast boat. Upon arrival at Nusa Penida island, we couldn't find immediately the assigned driver and I was having problems with my data plan to contact the tour company. Luckily, our driver, Putu was able to locate us, thank God, I had a profile picture in WhatsApp, which was provided to the driver. Thus, being able to identify me and my companion. I just wish he held a signboard with my name on it (similar to the other drivers we saw upon arrival in Nusa Penida) so we can locate the driver much easier.
As for the tour itself, Putu was a helpful driver. He provided us water bottles and snacks as soon as we got inside the car. He also briefed us on the places we will go. As well as informed us on what time we should be returning to the port. Furthermore, we appreciate the fact that Putu has a great ability in taking great photographs. Overall, we had a great time exploring Nusa Penida island despite the setbacks earlier.

Please be warned that this tour is wildly inconsistent based upon what others have experienced. I’m an avid traveller with a very high tolerance for bad travel experiences and this was the most poorly run tour excursion I’ve ever done.
TL;DR: Nobody speaks English except the guy you call to reserve the tour. You do not get a “tour guide” you get a driver who can’t speak English and who wanders away from you. The snorkeling portion is extremely dangerous in bad weather but they will go out anyway and give you horrible gear and only 20 min at each site. Manta Point has so much garbage in the water its sad and probably unhealthy. They do not take credit cards, but they’ll tell you they do and then insist on full cash payment at Nusa Penida.
We were picked up at 6:25 as promised and driven to the port, but our driver couldn’t speak English and simply led us through the chaotic port to a tent where we were given a boarding pass and instructed to be back at the tent by 7:30. We returned around 7:25, to find our driver still there and visibly upset, as he then rushed us down to the oldest boat on the shore and told us to climb aboard, acting as if we almost missed the boat. There were just a few seats left in the fully packed boat, the seats were crammed together, covered in dirt and mildew, and the smell of gasoline was so strong during the 40 min crossing that we almost passed out. After getting to shore in Nusa Penida, our next driver was nowhere in sight. We waited over an hour at the port under a tent before we were finally able to communicate w/ the tour company via WhatsApp that our driver still hadn’t arrived. He showed up a few minutes later. He couldn’t speak any English and didn’t tell us where we were going or what the itinerary was. The seatbelts in his car were broken. There was bottled water and potato chips in the car, so I’ll give them that!
When we arrived at Crystal Bay for snorkeling we were taken to a filthy outdoor station where they fit us for flns. They tried to rush us in to a boat immediately but I needed to change into my bathing suit. This was done in a dark, filthy tin shack with a hole in the ground toilet that was something out of a nightmare. We got in the boat as they were already pushing it offshore. I realized later they were rushed because they knew a storm was coming in and didn’t want to cancel/refund us. There was never any communication about schedule, the stops, the gear, safety, anything. We asked where our masks and snorkels were and the captain pointed to a spot in the front of the boat, where we found a set of masks and snorkels, one which appeared to have blood on it, so old and poorly maintained that the strap snapped when trying to adjust it. Thankfully they had 1 extra pair on board. When we arrived at Manta Point, the boat captain simply pointed in the water to gesture to us it was time to go in. It was then we realized we were short a life jacket, so I went in without one. This didn’t bother me much at first. The Mantas were incredible, but the water was littered with trash, so thick it was constantly bumping in to you and plastic bags were getting stuck against my mask. Incredibly sad and gross. After only 20 minutes we were told to get back in the boat. We returned to Crystal Bay just as a bad storm rolled in, and were told to get out of the boat about 20 meters from shore over the reef and then swim in when we were ready. It wasn’t bad yet when we got out, so I figured we would beat the worst of it if we only snorkeled a few minutes. After the boat left for shore it started pouring rain. Then my mask, which had been leaking the whole time, started leaking even worse and I couldn’t even use it anymore. The swell increased a few feet in just a few minutes. We started swimming to shore in these abhorrent conditions without any sign from the boat or its captain that they were looking out for us or even remotely concerned they had left us out in this. I had to ask my friend to take his lifejacket off and share it with me while we swam so I didn’t drown. When we made it to shore, our driver was nowhere to be found, there was no “shower” or changing (as mentioned on the website). We finally found our driver after walking the whole beach area. We got back to the car where we had to sit soaking wet on the drive to the next location an hour away.
When we got to Atuh I ran ahead to use the restroom and change out of my wetsuit. After walking to the restroom that’s already pretty far down the trail, they told me it was closed and I had to use the one on the beach another 10 min crazy staircase hike down. I decided to just go in the bushes and asked the driver, who at this point had caught up with me, to watch my stuff and stand guard. I wasn’t done yet when he walked away and disappeared down the trail. I had to run after him and ask where he was going and tell him I still needed to go back to the car first. He was super annoyed and didn’t get why I needed to go back to the car. I tried to explain I had no way of knowing how far away the bathrooms would be and that I needed my shoes and to put my wetsuit back. Thinking he understood, I let him take my wetsuit and flip flops. He returned 10 minutes later without my shoes. I pointed at my bare feet and said “shoes?” he shook his head and looked pissed and then went back to the car again, this time returning with the shoes. We hiked down to the beach and had a surprisingly good lunch at the restaurant there. Then our driver took us to the Bolang tree houses, which were very nice.
After driving us back to the port, the driver insisted we pay him on the spot, cash. We explained we didn’t have enough, since we were told we could use a credit card. He argued that we could use the credit card to get money out at the ATM. We had to explain (in vain) that credit cards don’t work like that and that defeats the whole purpose of using one. I also insisted on calling his “boss” — the man who we booked the tour with on the phone — to insure the driver wasn’t collecting full payment when he wasn’t supposed to. At this point our driver became extremely flustered and upset and didn’t want me to call his boss. Since this sent up a red flag, I really felt uncomfortable paying him at this point and told him I wouldn’t give him a dime without speaking to his boss. He finally obliged only after driving us back out of the port and pulling over on the side of the road. I talked to the “boss” and he said to pay the driver with the cash we had (about 1/2) and then pay our other driver back on the main island after going to an ATM there. We gave our driver on NP all the cash we had, and then he took us back to the port. Our return boat was much newer and nicer than the one on the way over. Make sure you insist on a newer boat if you go to Nusa, and don’t do the snorkeling in bad weather.

Booking this local company made things easier especially if you have a steep schedule in Bali. We manage to insert a one day tour in Nusa Penida (west & east) and we didn't regret it. I successfully visited the locations that I have dreamed of, especially it was my birthday (Nov 13). From whatsapp inquiries to tour arrangements, it was well planned and convenient. Thank you Suka for being an amazing driver, guide and photographer. He is knowledgeable and a nice person. Will recommend to friends and we will come back and book this company.

Suffice it to say, it was an adventure. My guide was Putu Widiana, a great guy! We kept to the schedule, snorkeling, sightseeing, etc. and Putu kept us on time and was very relaxed. It was the good life. One would be hard pressed to exaggerate how daunting the driving conditions can be with oncoming traffic on narrow roads, tourists and locals on scooters, some weathered roads, steep drops, etc. but Putu manages it all with F1 precision and confidence. Upon attempting the 400meter descent and climb to Kelingking Beach, I hadn't prepared properly and ran into a problem on the ascent whereby I passed out about 75 meters up from the heat- only to be pushed up against the rock by 2 lady travelers from India and Ireland (saved my life) and, along with a German man rehydrated and poured water over my head until I regained proper sensibility in about 15 minutes. Now we're waterless and exhausted and still had quite a bit to climb until we got to a reprieve of a cool breeze and easier climb. To the rescue came Putu with 2 bottles of cold water and we only had about 100m left. We made it to the top safely but now we only had 35 minutes to make our 45 minutes drive back to the last boat to the mainland of Bali. The drive back was an adventure. As an avid F1 fan, perhaps heading from here to Austin Grand Prix this weekend en route to NY, Putu's could've give Hamiltion and Verstappen a clinic on driving- wow! We made it with 2 minutes to spare and as I ran to the boat Putu ran to get my ticket. We shared one last manly hug and bid each other well as I boarded the "fast boat" shoes sloshing full of water as I settled into the long contemplative cruise back. What a day!

We asked for our own package: Kelingking beach, Atuh beach and Broken beach. We had just one day for this busy trip but we made it. Lunch and snack was included. Our guide was helpful. One day is not enough for whole island. We recommend this company. Thank you very much.

I went on a trip with Putu Nana when I was in Nusa Penida. He took us around and knew the spot of taking great photos. He's very friendly, service minded, and speaks well English. I'm happy to have him take us around the island.
