Amazing place. So many pictures to look at as well as a stuffed duck billed platypus. The pictures are beautifully arranged and the short video well worth watching

I admittedly hadn't heard of this lady before visiting, so I came away enlightened and enthralled. I have subsequently bought a beautiful book containing illustrations of her entire work. Definitely a must-visit place.

Wonderful Gallery within the grounds of Kew Gardens

This is one of the most outstanding galleries on Earth. There are few places you can visit where you can say, without reservation, that you have seen something that is unique. Marianne North's work is exemplary in any setting, but the way it is presented within Kew is astonishing. The gallery is simultaneously informative, beautiful and inspiring. Kew as a whole is brilliant but this is worth the journey alone.

I absolutely loved this gallery and the history of Marianne North, her life and her exquisite paintings of fauna and flora from all over the world. Purchased the book despite its weight to bring home which now has a featured spot on my coffee table.

This is a small but quant gallery set out in Victorian style. The walls are crammed full of the painters work with no space left unadorned. Definitely worth taking the time to admire the work here if you are visiting Kew Gardens.

Small Gallery packed with plant paintings

This is a specialist gallery. Plant paintings by Marianne North. The paintings are very densely displayed and the gallery is very much a product of its time. It has seating and toilets and is a good rest stop. If you are a fan of plant paintings this is for you.

There is so much to see in Kew Gardens but this is a must, particularly if it starts raining! There is also a new playground for children, divided into different age groups, but it's popular so it's advisable to book in advance (it's free once you're in Kew Gardens!)
