Being fans of Valentino Rossi, during our holiday we took the time to hire a car from Rimini and my husband drove us to Tavullia as we wanted to visit the VR46 store and look around the area and see where Valentino Rossi grew up. We reached the store but sadly we were very disappointed. There were no staff apart from a very unfriendly lady behind the counter. After we had looked around which took no more than 10 minutes, and bought a t-shirt, we asked the lady how to reach the cafe downstairs as we needed a drink after the journey, to which we were told "cafe closed, go across the road to the Bar Centrale". No apology, no explanation, no engaging in conversation, no customer service. Nothing. I do not recommend wasting your time. Unlike, when we went across the road to the Bar Centrale and received great customer service, smiling faces and conversation from the staff.

This was my second visit to Tavullia and first since the shop was moved and upgraded. The new shop is much bigger than the old one and has so much more to see and do. It is split over a few floors and several rooms, all dedicated to different areas of the VR46 world - from Rossi 46 merch to off-roading, mountain biking, the academy, Dainese, Fila and everything between. There are also interactive experiences to try, which you have to pay for based on which one and how long you want to play for. There are plenty of trophies, leathers, helmets etc on display from over the years to enjoy, as well as a detailed model of the Ranch. There is also an excellent fan wall in the toilet area - which my wife features on twice, but my face is covered up by a hand dryer! Tavullia isn’t the easiest place to get to, but it’s well worth the cost and effort.
