Great experience, the museum contains a vast assortment of WWI and WWII uniforms and artifacts. Perhaps the most impressive objects for me were the working gramophones, which the founders were so kind to turn on for us.

Our visit, prompted by some bad weather, was fantastic. The museum is extremely well organised, and the owner / curator was incredibly helpful, taking time out to show us some amazing items, such as a 1913 gramaphone. The children (2 boys aged 13&14) were allowed to sit on the military vehicles, which brought the experience to life for them, they also enjoyed looking and picking up the guns!! I would highly recommend this amazing little place.

We just returned from a month in Italy where we visited Rome, Siena, Cinque Terra, a Tuscan Farm/cheese making place, Lake Como, Lake Garda, Verona, Venice, Florence and family in the mostly unknown, Molise area. While with family in Molise my cousin too me to this museum in the tiny town of Rocchetta. Honestly, it was one of the highlights of my trip if not the highlight. The amount of guns, uniforms and equipment in this place is unbelievable. They even have a working WW2 American Airplane. I was captivated and didn't want to leave after over two hours of looking around. The host (Johnny) was so gracious, informative and amazing. He told us many stories and was extremely knowledgeable.
At one point I showed him a picture of my Grandfather in his Italian Army uniform from WW2. Johnny immediately recognized the uniform marking and gave me information I never knew about my Grandfather. Evidently he was part of an elite unit of less then two thousand men. He also showed me a torpedo developed by the Italians and used by the Germans to sink a British ship near Bari which was carry Mustard gas a was likely destined for the front, which was stalled in the area my parent were living in.
I can't wait to get back to Italy to see more of the beautiful country, to see my wonderful family and to go back to the hidden gem. This museum is spectacular!!

Located in an old mill, this museum is a must-see for anyone with an interest in military history. Although the greatest concentration is upon the weapons and uniforms of the Second World War, there are some very interesting examples from the First World War (including film footage of the White War in the Alps) and interwar years (rise of Fascism and the Spanish Civil War).

I do really wish they allowed photography, at least in some areas. I can understand that some of the items are of a sensitive historic nature, but it would have been fun to get a family picture next to their collection of Carabinieri (Italian military police) uniforms, for example.

A guided tour is required, and our first guide seemed annoyed that I kept stopping to explain things to our kids. (My wife and I speak and read a bit of Italian, but more importantly, I knew about the history of the items on display anyway, Italian or not.) Finally, our guide left us in the care of another docent, who was happy to let us take our time, and answer any questions we had. (He spoke Spanish, Italian, and some English, in that order.) That change made for a much more pleasant and informative visit.

This is a work in progress, and more is being added. There is a big bookshop at the end, which even had a selection of postcards.

If you have an interest in military history (or 20th-century Italian history) this is the place for you.

Giovanni Capone is an excellent historian and collector.
It has been a truly pleasure walking into history listening from Giovanni touching stories of heroes of war. Giovanni is very passionate and proud of the work that is done to create a very unique museum, he started to collect pieces at age of fourteen, you can only image the treasure that he has build in so many years.
I am very pleased for this visit and you cannot miss it.

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our visit to this museum. The collection of photos, uniforms, weaponry, and other World War material is extensive and exceptional. It is well displayed and captured our attention for 2 hours. The curator, Johnny, has accumulated the items from around the world including items left behind in the local area which was the site of critical World War II battles. Johnny's enthusiasm for World War history is contagious and he spent personal time speaking with us and hosting our tour. A truly exceptional experience.

As an historian I cannot but underline that this place represents a very remarkable heritage for Italy and the world as well, in what we consider to be the very "memory" of almost two centuries of history.
Well prepared, well presented, well introduced by accurate captions and by the people who work in it, the Museo Internazionale delle Guerre Mondiali (International Museum of World Wars) is definitely a must to visit in Italy.
No similar place is comparable to it.
