The lady who looked after us was incredible. We didn’t speak any Italian and she was so good to describe all the wines in English and in such detail. The food is exceptional and the wines were fantastic.

Fattoria Le Mortelle is surrounded by beautiful scenery with a tranquil setting in perfectly manicured grounds. The staff are very pleasant and helpful, and we have reason to go back again as we did not manage to see how the wine was made because viewing is upon reservation.
The wine selection was small, but it came with an excellent array of nibbles to enjoy whilst sitting back and enjoying the sunset on the terrace overlooking the magnificent views.

We were on our own, not on a group tour. We arrived after the lunch service but nonetheless enjoyed generous tastings of the wines, learned about the origins of the various choices & the history of the property. We did not take the official tour as it was too late in the day but certainly enjoyed a walk on the spectacular grounds and yes, bought wine to drink while in Italy.

There are NOT that many wineries to tour in this area of Italy - if you are staying in or around Castiglione Della Pescaia for a few days then this is a place to visit.
We went for the lunch and the full tour and we were very happy we did.
The lunch and the service was excellent and our kids (12, 11 & 8) were fascinated by the tour - even though they could not taste the wines at the end....
The winery was quiet and empty as we were there in early May when there is no activity... but the location is stunning and the wine tasting room is impressive.
We bought a few bottles and look forward to enjoying the 2015 Ampio some time in the middle of the 2020's!

We are veterans of wine tours and no need to say that we expected something better from an Antinori estate. Restaurants in Castiglione currently serve the 2015 vintage of the white wine but the one we tasted is the 2016 vintage, far too young with an impression of instability of its structure. The Botrosecco (Red) was also too young to be served. I think this is the overall issue with the wines from that estate : they don't age enough in the oak barrels. The only way to come back with a good souvenir from the winery was to buy their oldest red wine, way more expensive. 20 EUR per head for tasting 3 wines is quite expensive, especially when you buy for more than a 100 EUR of wine afterwards. I have seen wineries offering discounts if not offering the tour to visitors buying the wine (or even not buying ... this is frequent in France !). The conclusion is that the experience was overpriced.

What a cool facility. Old estate, but very new and modern winery. Fantastic wines! The Roscato 2016 is one of the most unique rose' wines I've ever had. We did not eat lunch, but the organic fruit from the estate was delicious.

This little island perched above the flood plains of Catiglione d. Pescaia is one of the most idyllic spots in all of Tuscany. Off the tourist trail, and no throngs as with other antinori spots. Staffed by knowledgeable locals, justifiably proud of their produce: fruit, veg, and (of course) ... the wine.

it is always a pleasure to go to Le Mortelle and sit a bit above the plain, under some trees. and taste THE VERY GOOD MORTELLE WINES. You get some snacks, the service is friendly. and you also can visit the interesting wine cellars.

lovely place to taste wine in beautiful scenery:) staff are welcoming and helpful:)we didnt manage to see how wine is being made cause viewing is upon reservation but still that wine tasted amazing:)

We are travelling from Civitavecchia after taking a cruise and visiting your area. We would like to visit the winery and taste your wines on June 19, around 15:00. There are only 2 of us. Do we need to make a reservation, or do we come in when we get there?
