A disgrace in Switzerland

One of the only big tourist trap in Switzerland! Paying to see a small pathetic lake is incredible, especially in Switzerland, which is full of amazing lakes and Nature

We paid for the tickets but we could not even make it to the lake as the path leading to the lake is NOT wheelchair accessible. The path goes up and down steeply, making it impossible to push a wheelchair on the path. The lady who was working the ticket booth was dismissive and not helpful.

Beautiful little lake

Blausee is such a beautiful lake, size isn’t always everything as this is quite small but the water is beautifully clear so you can see the trout swimming. We walked to Blausee nature park from Kandersteg where we were staying, a lovely 1 1/2 to 2 hour walk (time depending on how many times you stop to appreciate the views and take photos!) definitely worth the walk and would definitely recommend and then back on the local bus.

Small lake

The pictures look much better than the actual lake. The lake itself is small. We visited Blausee on a Sunday afternoon and was very crowded.There are so many better places to see in Switzerland.

Place to relax take a cup of coffee
I visit when is was snowing and the view with the crystal water was just great ❤️

a blue green lake is a must to see in this place!!!
We had a very nice tour and a pleasant summer vacation!
Everything is peaceful and calm..
The sound of water flowing from the rapids was very relaxing.
Have to try also the little boat tour 👍🏻👍🏻

Great at start, terrible and expensive at the exit

I visited this lake half way into june, on a organized tour. It was a quick visit but one I won't forget.
I forgot my phone at the souvenir shop.
Called the very next day to the hotel, whom where very nice and available to verify, collect and eventually ship the phone back to me. Provided that I pay for it.
The phone was apparently shipped but due to some mistake from the hotel, it wasn't shipped to me, but to the agency who organized the tour. Resulting in it being sent back to the hotel. Off course after I have payed for the shipping.
Being an expensive phone with personal data, and having passed some time I contacted the hotel, who told me it had been sent back. Again payed the shipping but this time to a proper address. When it "arrived" I was requested to pay undue taxes on the phone, due to another improper shipping by the hotel. After trying to reason with the posts and customs the phone got sent back once again.
This time, not only the hotel refused to provide documentation, but also claim they never received it back. When requested for the shipping documents they respond that "we have done enough". I have no confirmation from the hotel of it being sent back to them, nor any way of trying to reclaim with their post office (which they are also refusing to do) because of the hotel's refusal to provide documentation. They have however taken my money, both times! And most likely my phone!

Beautiful place!

Had seen this lake online and knew I had to include it in my trip. It was just as pretty in real life (even when it rained it made it look sparkly!)

Took far too many photos (sorry not sorry!)

I saw a sign at the front of the building apologising that the colour of the lake isn’t as blue as normal (and explains why this is) and I believe offered a discount on tickets due to this (however I stayed at the hotel which included lake access so can’t be certain!)

I agree, it’s a ripoff. U can walk around the whole place in 30 mins. It’s not a LAKE. It’s just a pond.
Full of tourists trying to click a pic wherever possible and blocking the pathways.

The old lady that works at the café was very rude! She was screaming at me and laughed at us in our faces with her old man friend, very unprofessional and mannerless I excepted better.
