Ngwe Saung was located in Pathein Region, Ayeyarwaddy Division, Myanmar. It have white sand and very long beach in Myanmar. So many of standard hotel have in Ngwe Saung Beach. Very good for visiting and relaxing. Brizo Beach Bar is one of the famous Beach Bar in Ngwe Saung Beach.

At NSYC, food is great. Veriety of choices in the breakfast from western to traditional foods. Many types of coffees, teas and fruits are served along with the breakfast. Staff are friendly and so helpful. Feels almost like doing some kind of visit to relatives.
Chefs are great as well. They're stndby to help you with your food. Btw, they are doing #Food_Waste_Recycling with Bokashi, turning all typea of organic waste into rich, fertiled soil, compost.
Quite soon, hopefully they can serve organic veggies grown in the organic compost that made of food waste.
This is my 3rd time staying here. Staying 4 days. Wide swimming pool for both kids and adults, private beach with white sands. And rooms are quite spacious and house keeping is so good neat and tidy.

Like many places in the Far East, the local people have hard lives but are so friendly and smiley. The main form of transport is scooters and all traffic likes to beep their horn so it can be quite noisy. Main roads are not too bad but many others are just tracks. We hired a scooter but found there wasn’t really anywhere to go and when we did go off a main road it was a bit dangerous trying to ride on dusty tracks. A relaxing getaway and an interesting way of life.

You like fireworks every night at the beach or even within you resort? Ngwesaung Beach is your place. You are too lazy to walk from A to B at the beach? Ngwesaung Beach is your place. Like some here already mentioned, pretty soon this will be a nasty and ugly beach like Pattaya or HuaHin in Thailand. Although signs say no quadros, no motorcycle, no fireworks at the beach allowed by local authorities, nobody really cares and the is the market for this already. You can buy fireworks at the beach, many motorcycles driving the whole day up and down the beach. Same goes to the Quadro motorcycles. They asking tourists to drive instead of walking, that causes annoying noises and pollution. The Beach already looks like a german Autobahn. 😒
People to not understand what gem they have here, or they don’t car?
While the hotels and Resorts take good care of the Beach and collecting the trash every day, the local restaurants don’t, so beside of the resorts the Beach looks not so clean anymore.
If one wants to see a beach where people and local authorities understand how to protect nature and do business go and see Ngapali 🏝 beach.
I am very sorry for this missed chance. 😔

Quite clean. Fewer motorcycles on beach than before. Up from lovers island is long stretch of isolation. I walked for 15 minutes and only saw my shadow. Near liver island the restaurant..snacks and umbrella. This place relaxing and got something for everyone

Can not recommend this enough ... exceeded our expectations and more ...Mrwin can not do enough for you... from being picked up from hotel to being dropped off.. Food/drink provided once you get to Bird Island all cooked fresh... taken to beautiful cove after for snorkelling.. your safety. Mrwin is a very lovely funny man who also speaks good English. This trip is an absolute must and very good value for money.

This little town is about to become too crowded of tourists. I would advise to visit it soon but in a respectful way. The beach is wide and peaceful. The locals are friendly and always smiling

I had visited Ngwesaung for 4 days,
It's so beautiful place to discover, warmly and kind-hearted people.
I stayed at Lover View Pool Bar Hotel, very nice and reasonable price.
I also have delicious food at M4 restaurants, next by my hotel.
The food so delicious, fresh, mouth-watering, staff can speak EL fluency, so kind-hearted also, and especially, price so reasonable, one of place you must visit when you come Ngwesaung

A good place to relax.. enjoy the sun and sands. 6 hours drive from Yangon...that includes two pit stops. One of breakfast and another pee stop. Water clear ..and sand white ..what is there not to like. Hotel NSYC is a bonus...stunning views. Highly recommended

I would probably wait till November judging weather from neighbouring Thailand where I have condo.In November was water smooth as silk fantastic for swimming and it's clean no industry pollution.

If you plan to stay by the beach near town, plenty of convenient stores. They also have makeshift bars along the beach if you just want bottled drinks.
Really a place to still experience local flair. Really quiet without bars.

Is the express bus the night bus? We are going in two weeks and re finding it hard to get accurate information on the bus. Ideally we would like a private car..but too expensive.

Yes ... a lot of express buses to go there ... most are the night trips to go there and return at the Morning . U can buy at any travel agents . Depend on the bus ,the ticket price is not more than $50 per persons for 2 ways . I don’t think so u need the private cars to go there .

Ciao a tutti! Sapreste dirmi se in questa spiaggia o nei paraggi si può mangiare uscendo dagli hotel? C'è una sorta di paesino? Si possono fare acquisti? Giusto per non essere legati alle strutture per i pasti! Partiremo tra gennaio e febbraio, grazie!!!

I would like to ask Daniel H who wrote a review on Ngwe Saung on 31. 5. 2015.
He mentioned in the review that he employed a driver Maung Maung from Ngwe Saung for 14 days to travel in Myanmar
and he seems to highly recommend him.
I would like to have a similar trip and a reliable driver is appreciated.
My question;
1. How can I find Maung Maung( Tel number / address available ?)
2. What is the approximate cost for renting a car and employing a driver for ,let's say , 14 days?
It will be much more efficient to arrange beforehand than doing it after arrival.
To me Daniel's way of traveling seems idealistic by avoiding unnecessary hustles and by saving time and energy.
A reply will be enormously appreciated.
