The very best views of the Cliffs of Moher can be found here. The hiking is definitely more dangerous than the safety of the area around the visitor’s centre, but the breathtaking views are well worth it

I did the 2.5 hour hike to Hags Head from the Cliffs of Moher Visitors Centre and back and was just mesmerised by the views.
It's far from my first time at the cliffs but it's the first tine I walked to Hags Head.
There's a tower at the tip but it's closed at present. No matter for it's the views you go for. Clear views of tge Aran Islands and of course tge cliffs and waves below you. Almost every inch is a postcard shot!
The path is very uneven but if you have any level of fitness you'll be fine as long as you've a head for heights! It goes very close to the cliff edge St times do be careful!

Have done the regular cliff walk a number of times and this makes a lovely change. The Napoleonic tower is closed at the moment but the views are still breathtaking. It's a bit of a pull up the hill for the infirm.

You can also approach the Cliffs of Moher via the coastal walk that starts outside of Liscannor, before you ever reach the visitor's center. There is a parking lot where if you pay 3 euros, you can walk along the top of the cliffs. The first sight you will see, after the tower, is the amazing rock formation called Hag's Head. It is possible to walk down to if off the main walk, but I wouldn't recommend it if you have any issues with heights. The walk can be muddy if it has been raining. Also, parts of it do go very close to the edge of the cliffs, so not recommended for those with a fear of heights. But it is a nice way to see the cliffs from the opposite side, looking toward the visitor's center.

It's approx. 9 miles to Hag's Head and back again to the visitor centre/car park at the Cliffs of Moher. The scenery is just as stunning on the 0.5 mile walk to the north of the visitor centre, so your choice.

There is a carpark, with a minimal charge, (€2), and someone there to look after it! The walk from Liscannor, via Hag's Head is truly spectacular, and when you reach the Cliffs of Moher, you can break off for a snack. You can continue on to Doolin, or return to Liscannor. If you go to Doolin, there is a bus, again minimal charge (€5 I think it was?), to bring you back to your car. A great expericnce. Allow about 4-5 hours for both lega of the journey.

I went to Ireland in July 2017 and this is where I started my hike along the Cliffs of Moher. It's a short visit, the story behind it is fun. If you're willing to hike to or from it, you won't spend a long time here.

We went to the Cliffs of Moher visitor area, did some sightseeing around there, then drove over to Hag's Head. It was about a 10-minute drive on a very small road. It was 3 euro to park in a small parking lot. The hike from the parking lot was about 1 mile in each direction with farms on either side. The view at Hag's Head is spectacular but there is no sign about the structure. I wouldn't go out of your way to visit this area and allow at least an hour if you do.

If you have the time, I would park near Hag's Head and hike over to the visitor center. It will save quite a bit of money but takes up more time and is a bit of a hike.

Have done the walk a few times, Hags head is a sight but the walk is sublime. There is a bus that runs between Doolin and Hags Head so no messing with cars.
