What a lovely church to sit a few minutes and reflect. A beautiful tranquility is felt by anyone staying a few moments. I was amazed at how many beautiful churches were in this wonderful little city on the trebbia

The Cattedrale di Santa Maria Assunta is located in the main square in Bobbio. It is an inpressive structer with a very interesting and nice interior.

DON't FORGET THE LITTLE CATHEDRAL MUSEUM

Small but well organized museum next to the Cathedral - nice 18th and 19the century atmosphere. The Duomo is beautiful, of course most visitors start with the San Colombano monastery church, also this church is very well presented and very neat. I enjoyed the silence.

Little hidden marvel

Beautiful church decorated with a great sense of taste. Well kept and off the tourist track. Once inside you fell lost in time. Definitely worth a visit.

We visited the Duomo in Bobbio for the celebrations for the 14th Centenary of St Columbanus, whose remains are in the Abbey of Bobbio. The Cathedral is beautiful and hopefully you get the chance to visit it and take in the lovely artwork and Italian craftsmanship. It is a wonderful prayerful space.

Bobbio is a beautiful little town in a valley with a lot of history. Nearby (less than an hour) is the little villages of Pradovera/Verano/Pianandelle.
