Peter guided us safely up Ben Nevis in challenging January conditions. He provided useful tips for keeping warm and prepared in the changing weather. We had never used crampons before, but with his careful guidance we quickly became comfortable and were so happy to make it to the top!
He also provided local knowledge and it’s clear to see why he is an expert in his field. Would totally recommend Peter and we wouldn’t have been able to do it without him. It was an unforgettable experience, thankyou!

We had a fantastic day with Peter guiding us up Ben Nevis a couple of weeks ago. My wife and I and 2 boys 11 and 13 were keen to climb it although were somewhat nervous as 3 out of 4 had not done any winter/snow climbing before. Peter was a great guide, well informed, well prepared with a strong focus on safety. There was deep snow especially at the top and his experience was invaluable. Personable and friendly I could not recommend him highly enough. Some great views and memories. There is no way I would attempt this in the winter without an experienced guide like Peter

I had a fantastic day on Ben Nevis. Peter is a very experienced, professional and knowledgeable guide. I can thoroughly recommend Adventure Nevis to anyone wishing to get to the top of the UK's tallest mountain!!

I booked onto Peter’s group as a solo traveller and first time climber, and I can’t thank Peter enough. We went up as a small group, and it was a fantastic day. Peter’s tips on what to bring with me in order to stay warm and dry before coming were extremely helpful, you defining need your thermals for the summit. The trip up and down was a challenging one, Peter was very patient and supportive when we needed help or a boost. He made sure we were always at a comfortable pace, and had plenty of breaks on the way up and down. The weather was a dream, the summit had clear views so it was the perfect day to climb. Made it to the summit in just under four hours! Couldn’t recommend Peter more.

We had been planning the Aonach Eagach ridge in Glencoe for a while and decided to commit this year. We contacted Peter who was very helpful from the beginning and we arranged a guided crossing for three in early August. On the day, Peter was very friendly, knowledgeable and provided great advice and guidance as we made our way across the ridge - talking us through ascending and descending the scrambles safely. We always felt in control and when we reached the pinnacles Peter made multiple crossings to ensure he could keep an eye on everyone. While the weather was mixed, it made for a great day as the views came and went. We' would highly recommend Adventure Nevis if you are looking for guide for your next walk

To raise money for charity, our hockey club decided to undertake a night climb of Ben Nevis with Peter and Matthew (after a former client of theirs recommended Peter).
As you will see from the photos, our group was incredibly lucky in having a night with clear skies and free from wind and rain! The guides were friendly and informative, helpful and encouraging to those who needed it and paced the climb perfectly for our whole group to arrive in time for the sunrise; incredible sight!!
Despite our aching muscles, it was certainly a night to remember and we raised a decent amount of money for charity too!

Myself and my mum hiked Ben Nevis with Peter. We couldn’t have done it without him as the snow was so heavy at the top and when the cloud came in we would have been lost! Peter was great at explaining the landscape, pointing out local wildlife and he even took us up the old path on the accent to get away from the crowds which is something we wouldn’t have experienced otherwise. Peter was also great at keeping pace with us if we needed a break and gave great advice about layers so we were never cold. We’d both really recommend Peter as a guide.

Peter is a very experienced guide. I had already done some Scottish winter stuff previously and have completed winter mountain skills in Aviemore but learnt some essential safety tips from Peter whilst on the mountain. So as well as guiding me up the mountain he was teaching me things along the way. Very knowledgeable of the area and recommended other things for me to try whilst I was in Glen Nevis. 5 star experience.

Peter was clearly a very knowledgeable guide and he even took us closer to get a better view of the North Face at the summit as the weather was nice and it was safe to do so. The beginning of the hike was rainy and cloudy but then it cleared up and was sunny! At the top there was no ice, but a lot of snow and we experienced both mist and sun allowing some great views. It was challenging but not impossible, and I am still so happy I was able to do it! It took us 7 hours and we were a group of 5. I would have liked a few more short stops going up for water and snacks, but it was manageable. Definitely recommend!

This was an incredible experience. Peter is such a knowledgable and friendly guy who made us feel very comfortable. We learnt a lot about his lifetime of thrilling excursions, showing the extent of the experience that he has in this sector. The walk itself was magnificent. Peter packed crampons and walking poles/ice axes as a precaution but luckily we didn’t need to use all of it. The weather was very pleasant for walking and we managed to get some pretty good views. We filled up our bottles with fresh Scottish mountain water from the waterfall high up the mountain track and made our way to the top! Peter even instructed us of a great walk to follow up with the next day, starting from the North Face car park and following the winding path up to the CIC hut for some breathtaking views of Ben Nevis from a whole difference perspective. Couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Wish I could do it all over again.

Hi, we are keen to climb Ben Nevis in late July this year. We are two fit 48 yo but inexperienced. Our son is 12. Is it reasonable to take a young child? We would use a guide

Hi, I would give it a go, my recommendation would be to go with a guide advice is priceless when to layer up and down, as for your son definitely as long as a reasonable fitness and correct clothing it would be a marvelous experience for you. I took my son's up Snowden age 13, 15 they still talk about what a great day
