“terrible waiter”

Every other table got bread except ours. The waiter forgot my second plate (grilled fish) and when we reminded him he gave me a recycled entree (oven fish with red pepper) , when confronted with this mistake, HIS mistake, he tried telling me the menu was wrong. No sir! YOU made a mistake and then made me pay the price of a second place of fish while giving me a recycled entree! So not only did you try to make me a fool but you also ripped us off. Never again will I come here. Crooks!

Amazing Place lots of services, you can have very good relaxing time.You can spendi a day at the beach swimming and bath of sin, Aldo tour friend dog Is welcome. Lower price for food and drinks...enjoy friends.

Amazing place full of little beaches and restaurants

Highly recommended restaurant Nautica Fioro and the beach of hotel Relais San Saussis. This 2 places are my preferable regards relation of prices and quolity of services

Vulcan lake, clean water, fairly deep, equipped beaches, breathtaking view, hazelnut around. Possibility of walks.

Amazing flooded volcano lake, incredible scenery, friendly people

Sailing looks amazing but we didn't have the time. The lake has small villages around it and a fabulous road (but watch out for flying Italian drivers!) Sunsets are particularly spectacular.

It's about an hour's drive north of either airport, we used Ciampino and hired a Fiat at reasonable cost at the airport through Hertz.

You can hire boats and kayaks at various locations and the lake is big enough for a 30ft yacht to look like a dinghy (almost as big as Windermere but circular).

Great place to cool off. Some quiet areas but also a few decent places to eat on the southern side of the lake.

Nature reserve with quiet, clean swimming.

This lake is mostly a nature reserve, the south side is not (avoid it as it is full of people and bars). There are many free parking areas where you can picnic, bbq and swim from the stony shore.
The car park areas are sadly left with overflowing bins but down by the lake it is clean and quiet.
The water is good for swimming, although a local warned us that there can be whirlpools so not to go far out.
At the best place there are steps to go down to the lake shore. The area is full of wildlife, it is a natural area so don't expect toilets at any of the nicest places!
The scenery in this ancient volcanic lake is just beautiful.

Plenty of areas around the lake to walk and take in the beautiful scenery. Forest trails abound and we found a few places to stop for a drink and a meal.
