Casa Museo del Campesino is a museum located on land, between San Bartolomé and Mozaga, in the center of Lanzarote Island. It and the outer sculpture (the fecundity) were designed by Cesar Manrique, the most known artist of the island. In the museum, you can see the traditional life as a farmer in the island. Here you can see some objects used and there is a miniature town, where you can buy souvenirs and local craft objects (too tourist). Also, there si a bar/restaurant, where you can eat local food. In fact, I arrived a bit late and only could walk few minutes in the museum and drink something in the bar. It is ok.

Tuesday 29th March and we visited this unusal museum.

It is situated, in a remote location at the intersection of the LZ-20 and LZ-30 near Mozaga. It is not easy to miss as the 15 metre high sculpture, Monument to Fecundity (Fertility) helps to guide visitors here.

The Museum is the creation of the architect, artist and sculptor, César Manrique, who was born on Lanzarote. He was also responsible for the Fertility sculpture.

Throughout the Museum, Manrique acknowledges and explains the hardships and adverse conditions faced by the peasant farmers of Lanzarote. It was designed to take visitors on a  journey through the traditional architecture, agriculture, crafts and foods.

There are a number or small shops which were selling traditionally produced foodstuffs, crafts and other products.

We had an a informative and enjoyable walk around this well maintained Museum.

There was no entrance fee to visit, however, the restaurant was closed at the time of our visit.

Somewhat disappointing I fear. The cafe was very good but the rest of it didn't do justice to Lanzarotes heroic and complex farming history. I feel unjust in saying this when the visit is free of charge, but it has unfulfilled potential.

Situated on a major roundabout it is worth a stop to see the famous monument and take a look at some of the farming implements used on the island as well. Nice cafe on the site

The most famous and traditional job that Cesar Manrique admired (as I do) was farming, agriculture. Lanzarote's farmers were very hard at work, but, at the same time, very honest and kind people. It is a worthing to visit the place, like Cesar Manrique's house and museums.

Impressive monument designed by Cesar Manrique stands tall as you approach this site. Ample parking. Old farming implements and camel & mule carrying boxes on display outside.
Handicraft stalls not all open on Sunday. Don’t miss the underground banqueting suite. A cafe is on site. When we visited there was a local dance and musician troupe performing.
Free to enter, worth a look.

Casa Museo Del Campesino is worth stopping for. The centre is beautifully laid out and spotlessly tidy. Local crafts are displayed and you are able to sample some of the food. Entrance is free and there is plenty of parking. The staff were keen to answer any questions about the history of the centre and the island as a whole.

We stopped here to take a photo of the Monument Fecundidad and found this amazing museum and artisan crafts building. It is a lovely place to wander around and sells unusual crafts and gifts made locally. There is an enormous restaurant underground as well as above. Nicely landscaped, free and with good parking. Well worth a visit.

Had a lovely dinner at the restaurant today. Local families come here on sundays to enjoy the tradional cuisine. Dishes are quite big for very reasonable prices. It is not fine dining but decent quality and a way to eat local dishes that you do not find elsewhere. Around 2 pm there is a show with traditional music and dances.

We came by bus is the best way to get around the Island if you down load the bus app.
we arrived around 12 pm and not busy we went into the house after looking at info out side it's interesting to think how cleaver he was in picking the place to build a house before it's time .
there are lots of films he took to watch with English sub titles anyone interested in Art should go .
I would say it's not a place to bring young children there also lots of narrow steps and passages ,we had some sandwiches from the little cafe and were nice ,we spent 2 hours there and at 16 euro for two I think it's good value .
