Amazing beach.

I am not a beach person but this beach is well worth visiting and the walk from the car park! The water is crystal clear and it is amazing for snorkelling. The beach has very small stones which are comfortable to walk on but don’t get too hot and not intrusive like sand! The only downside is lack of facilities - there are no bars or toilets so bring an icebox full of cold water and sandwiches!

Clearest water!

I love this beach. The water is so clear and gets so deep really quickly. It's great for snorkelling. The beach is long and there is plenty of space. The car park is at the top of the cliff but it's worth the walk down. It makes the whole beach seem that little bit more special.

Beach of the dead !

Interesting name- fortunately no dead bodies on day of visit ! Sea gets deep pretty quickly and can get quite lively ! Lovely beach but need to walk down from car park. Keep eyes right and it is a wonderdul view.- eyes left and its a major industrial facility ! - which i believe is the largest coal fired power station in Spain !

Nice beach, very busy in summer, difficult access

Because the beach is so busy in summer, we didn’t feel it was the “secluded” spot that many here have mentioned. It is in a pretty bay (as long as you look towards the mountain and not towards the industrial works on one end), but I have been to many beaches along the coast of Spain that are just as nice - with much much easier access. Definitely arrive early (before 11am) in summer, otherwise you will have to park a long way from the path that leads down the mountain (it is a 15 minute walk once you reach this path). And bring plenty of water /drinks. The ocean here is very clear and nice for snorkelling.

Disappointing, not as pretty as we thought

Visited here on a hot morning in August, the trip down to the beach is hard and would not recommend for the elderly. When we arrived down to the beach it wasn't too hard to find a space as we got there early enough, however, I don't agree that it's the most beautiful beach in the area. I don't think it differed that much to Mojacar beach, that was at the end of our road! Not worth the hike down - don't bother going!

We went there on an August Sunday. We arrived at 10 and it some people were already there, so if you want to get the good part next to the rocks (the one you see jn all the pics) go there really early. The parking is 4€ which is fair. The way to the beach is difficult but not impossible so wear comfy shoes. When arriving down to the shore don’t be scared by the factory on your left, just go all the way to the right. The beach is long so there is plenty of space. The sea gets deep really fast but the water is super super clean and there are loads of fished swimming close. No rocks but the beach is made of small portions of them, really beautiful. It is definitely worth it to spend the whole day there.

Not as great as other beaches nearby

We went here on a Sunday it is possible to park for 4 euros if you get there fairly early. Then there's a long-ish scramble down to the beach. The beach is made up of tiny pebbles rather than the sand of nearby beaches. It gets very crowded as the day goes on and there was an undertow. Not our favorite beach option of the area.

Very beautiful beach

We decided to visit in the evening when it was a lot cooler. There are a couple of paths to choose from to access the beach. They are both very long and very rocky. We went for the steeper of the two as we stopped off at the viewing platform on the way. From where we parked the car, it would have taken us about 10 minutes to get down if we hadn't have stopped to take photos. The hike back up to the top again took about as long. The climb back up wasn't as bad as other reviews lead me to believe, however it would be best not to take too many things with you and you should definitely wear sensible shoes.
The beach was beautiful. The waves were huge and we had a lot of fun in the sea. It was quite quiet due to us visiting at around 8pm and so I do recommend a later visit. Yes, there is quite a large industrial area to the one side of the beach, but when we'd left the beach we decided to drive up to and around it, which in itself was quite interesting in the dark. It does not take anything away from the beauty and atmosphere of the beach. There are no toilets or other services on the beach, so do be prepared for this.

We came to this place attracted by the touristic picture of the beach. To our surprise we understood that they only show one side of the beach. On the the other side you can see a massive industrial facility. For a savage beach that's pretty uncomon 😂

Lovely beach

Crystal clear sea, little bit wavy and cold but getting used to it after a short swim! Bring your food/drink.. Park your car and walk 15-20 min, and enjoy the summer!
