Torre Salinas is a very nice beach about an hour east of Cagliari. We stopped there on our way south from Orosei. It’s a beautiful...somewhat large sandy beach. It’s fairly remote so pack a picnic if you’re not staying nearby.

Nice beach, clear water, kiosk selling food and drink, there is an old watch tower on the cliff, well worth the climb as the view is outrageous

This is a several miles long beach which is surprisingly poorly frequented. It has a dark sandy sand, beautiful water dropping fast and is void of people, vendors or commercial activity. By contrast the southern part, neat the torre is being compromised by poor building and is rowdy

We visited Torre Salinas using public transport from Cagliari. The coach stops on the main road about a 10/15 minute walk from the beach. Beach is enormous with views of the hills behind, and good for walking along too. After we clambered up to the tower - you need to be fit and with reliable shoes, no flipflops, it's only about 5 minutes but quite steep and rocky. We were surprised and pleased to find the tower open (mid-April) and so were able to climb up to the top. Be careful, the steps are steep and the wall at the top quite low, but a really really spectacular view.

Nice hotel, good food,pleasant staff!
Nothing to see nearby. No restaurants,no shops, the only one small in the hotel.
