Where to begin? I have visited quite a few vinyards as I love wine and the ‘vinyard experience’, always on the Hunt for the next amazing experience. I have to say this one blew my mind. I spoke to Stefano (the owner) on phone several times leading up to our visit and he is fluent in English and super super flexible, We got there, were welcomed at the gate, and then the wine fairytale began without us even realizing it yet.
We got a great tour of the vinyard, with amazing stories of how it all began, the family story of buying the vinyard and turning organic etc.
We had a tasting in the glass House (great for weddings, and other spectacular events which they do on demand!).
Stefano served amazing wines, and lots of it! This is not ‘your typical corporate winetasting at a High brand winery’, on the contrary! It’s much better! I have never met a more dedicated and passionate winemaker than Stefano. His whole property fumes passion, dedication, hard work and love for the making of wine - resulting in the most genuine, personal and authentic presentation of really really good wines from whites to red wines. Wow!!! No wine lover in the area should miss out on this hidden gem!

Don’t miss this lovely organic winery near Tarquinia and the port of Civitavecchia. Alex the winemaker is knowledgeable and makes learning about his Italian wines fun. The white, red and sparkling were all wonderful to experience in this beautiful vineyard.

Etruscaia is a family run organic vineyard - had the private wine tasting and dining experience. Everything delicious, fresh, homegrown and cooked to perfection by those that know how.

We were most fortunate to discover the Etruscaia Vineyard for our family holiday this Summer! My 10 year old daughter absolutely loved it and can’t wait to go back so we have already booked our next holiday there! The Family who own and run the vineyard are absolutely lovely and overly helpful. They really go out of their way to ensure you have the best holiday and have a true Italian experience. We were desperately looking for a windsurfing school that our daughter could do every day and they even managed to sort that out for us!
If you also want to learn more about how they make their wine don’t forget to book it as it’s really worth doing!
The private chef experience is also one not to miss as most products are sourced directly from their land! The chef is amazing and his cuisine to die for, we are still raving on to our friends how he managed to impress us with his cooking... and we are fussy on food!
We had everything we needed during our stay at the villa, surrounded by amazing views of the vineyard and sunsets. Location is great as 10 min by car from the beach, the town, bars and restaurants and around 45 min from Rome.
For us it was great as we could alternate between spending a day in Rome, then trying out different beaches, eating in the nearby towns.
You can also buy bottles of their wines and homemade jams... we bought several and can’t wait to go back and stock up more!
Overall, if you’re looking for a romantic getaway or even a family or friends gathering you should put this one on your list!

While studying abroad in Viterbo, my friends and I made a day trip to Etruscaia for a wine tasting and had the best time! Stefano was more than helpful and very accommodating. When we ran into some transportation issues he very generously helped us by picking us up at the train station and dropping us back off there at the end of our stay. We had the "basic tasting" since we were only going to be there for a couple of hours in the afternoon and it exceeded our expectations! The food was excellent, the wine was delicious, and the fresh fruit from the vineyard was some of the best I've had. After our tasting was over, we went up to the terrace for one last glass of wine and enjoyed the views of the vineyard and the ocean before heading back. The whole experience was exceptional and very enjoyable. Stefano was extremely hospitable to us and we had a great time. This experience was definitely one of the highlights from our entire study abroad trip! If I am ever in the area again, I will definitely go back and visit!

Like every year when we visit Italy, we wanted to do some wine tasting. We chose Etruscaia based on the excellent reviews and weren’t disappointed. It really was like visiting family! Lamberto and Olga truly welcome you in their home and make you feel part of the family. Olga is an amazing cook, some of the best food we’ve had on our trip. Lamberto is an excellent host, showing you around, making sure you’re having a great time and letting you taste their great wine, olive oil and other fresh made products. Highly recommended!!

Husband's and my first trip to Italy. Stayed in beautiful Civitavecchia cruise port for Rome total of 4 days. The wonderful staff at Hotel San Giorgio set us up with wine tasting tour at Etruscaia. What a fantastic time we had. Perfect hosts Olga and Lomberto opened their home to us like a favorite aunt and uncle. It was just my husband and I - what an unbelievable experience that we will never forget. Highly recommend. Olga's cooking is so delicious and the wine is beyond delicious.
