Hoshino Buranko, or astral swing, is a pending bridge in Hoshino Enchi. Although I have acrophobia, I tried this 280 m long and max. 50 m high bridge. Indeed it is not dangerous even for children. It is a very special experience, and just to cross this bridge it is worth visiting Hoshino Enchi. It is suggested to give some donation when you cross the bridge.

A nice and comfortable hiking. Not too hard to climb, just nice and you will see the WOW view from the star swing!!!! A great view of nature, deep breathe and feel good!

You can make your trip plan to Osaka with not only shopping to Shinsaibashi, Dotonbori or Namba, but you can pick a day to see the great view of nature too!

Hiking at Hoshi no Buranko Bridge will never let you down! You will be able to see a stunt view and very enjoy the trip!!

From keihan 今市 station, need to walk about 50 minutes, there are couple of routes to reach bridge, some with steps some just paved easy roads, signs are clearly marked. Met quite lots foreigners.
There are parking lots available, cheap fees. But for this weekend, 2 days free buses offering from station mainly for autumn viewing. There are places you can rest and have you packed lunch, a information center nearby offering vending machines selling drinks ice cream. Clean toilet free but tip box outside, drop dollars to help cleaners. Bridge is free to cross, also has tip box for maintenance purpose. Viewing desk near the bridge where you can see Kyoto City in a clear day, we did.

Great hiking for half day, done 16000 steps.

It wasn't the easiest place to get to or to get back from, but i did enjoy my visit. I would go back again but only for Autumn to see all the amazing trees and their colourful leaves.

Took almost an hour to get there. Part of the reason is the difficulty in buying train tickets because of language and the unfortunate rarity of encountering non-helpful Japanese. Also, once you get to Yodoyabashi Stn, you just need to buy a single ticket all the way to Kisaichi stn. That will save you some money. Once you reach there, the walk to the park is fairly obvious.

You need to walk about 40mins to reach the base- hey call piton place. There's an info cabin, toilets and a food truck. From there you have a choice of a steep climbing (400m) or a gentle walk (1km) to the bridge. The former is on the left fork and the latter on the right fork. The steep climb is not for those with knee, hip or foot problems. I am generally fit and run a lot on flat ground. But this is a climb and uses different muscles.

The bridge is amazing. It was crowded when we got there since it is a long weekend. Be warned if you are afraid of height- the bridge will be swinging a bit at the middle. Just cling on to the rails. There's lots of photo opportunities and selfies along the bridge.

Over at the other end, head to the summit observation deck to have a breadth taking view of osaka and the bridge you just crossed. There are toilets and a picnic area along the way up. It's just a comfortable 20mins walk.

There are many trekking paths down the mountain. You can choose the gentler one (i.e. left fork from below) if you are tired.

It was a wonderful experience. The park is also free and enjoyed mostly by the locals.

Tip- bring your picnic food and drink along. Take your time walking/climbing and soak in God's creation.

Well worth the trip out. Bit hard to navigate getting there by public transport and a 4 km walk but incredible scenery. Loved every minute of it.

While driving from Nagoya to Osaka, we broke our journey at Hoshida Enchi park, half an hour's drive from Osaka, particularly to walk on Hoshi No Buranko (Swing of the Stars). The mapcode we keyed in led us to a no-through road. We had to backtracked and asked a lady on the street. She pointed us to a map at the side of the road and showed us (using sign language) the correct way to the entrance of the park. We found that the Japanese we met were always so courteous and helpful in giving us directions.

We parked our car not far from the entrance. The parking fee was Y200 per hour. We then walked on a wooden platform to reach the park entrance. There was a rock climbing facility on the right and a rest area on the left. There was no entrance fee. We took the trail with steeper stairs to reach the bridge in about 15 minutes. Hoshi no Buranko is a 280-meter-long wooden suspension bridge, rising up to 50 meters above ground. It is the largest wooden-board pedestrian suspension bridge in Japan.

The view on the bridge was breathtaking. After taking some photos, we made our way back to the rest area. We were thinking of getting some hot drinks there but there were only cold drinks in the vending machine. So we drove to a Lawson outlet to get some food and hot drinks.

This was a really memorable 'mini' hike for us as it was not a crowded place and we had truly enjoyed the magnificent view up on the bridge. We spent 3 hours here.
