This is a beautiful park with a lake. I visited in winter, but I suspect it would be beautiful in autumn and spring. There are many different types of gardens. There are many toilets available and it is wheelchair accessible.

It is accessible by bus from Hirakatashi Station.

It's a beautiful and nice park to visit. You'll be able to take a walk around Yamadaike pond and through forest around it. You'd better to go there If you want to be in natural.
This is rather far from Hirakata station or city area of Hirakata, so it's a reason caused minus one.

Great place to walk and run. Different plants in bloom at different times of year - plum trees and cherry trees in spring, irises in June, other bushes and trees later. Bamboo grove. Playgrounds and picnic areas. Something for everyone.

Like Central Park NYC in spring. It has a similar feel. Hilly, beautifully landscaped but with large groves of tall trees and large bamboo woods. We were fortunate to be there for the spring Sakura (Cherry) blossoms and the plum blossoms as well. We were visiting Rita's newborn granddaughter and had taken an apartment in Makino for the month of March. This became our walking park every morning. On the weekends you will have the added joy of seeing locals promenading their beautifully groomed and, in some cases, outrageously dressed puppies.

This is the gem of Hirakata. This is a perfect spot for walking, running or biking and is seldom crowded. It offers scenic beauty in the form of a large lake filled with waterbirds, and many different flower and tree collections. It is famous for its Iris display when in season. We take our small dog, on a leash, and she loves this location. The is a large playground for the little ones. Be sure to take your camera when you explore this beautiful public park!

Yamadaike park is well located, it is easy accessed by both public transportation (buses and train) and private car. In the park, there is a big and beautiful pool surrounded by trees and seasonal flowers. You can go fishing, jogging or just simply walking around in fresh air with your family to enjoy cherry blossom in spring and leaves colors change in autumn. Your children have an big and open-air playground with many facilities, they will have great fun there. Go for it and enjoy your lively weekends here.

Yamadike park is huge. It's great for walking, riding your bike, looking at nature, sakura blossoms when they are in bloom, bbqing, picnicking and sports. I love riding my bike and finding a cool spot to eat lunch while looking at the gorgeous nature surrounding me.

This is an enormous park with plenty of facilities and activities available for whatever it is you are wanting to do. Whether that is just a quiet stroll, a jog, there are miles of paths to fulfill your needs. If you are looking for a spot to have a bbq, well you can't go past the park for a more suitable location. If you are into botany, well this is heaven.
The park is easily accessible from all major cities in the Kansai area, with the J.R. and Keihan Rail Lines servicing the park.
If you have forgotten to bring something, there are plenty of shops in the area as-well-as the usual vending-machines.

This park delivers so much more than what might be expected from a city park. Meticulously maintained flowerbeds, a tranquil, large pond, a Japanese gazebo perched on the water, sunset benches...and that's only half of the park! Cross the majestic bridge to the other side and you will have hills and fields fit to host hundreds if not thousands of people that would like to have barbecues, throw the frisbee, and let the dogs run. A winding path takes you through vegetative arches and leads to a small stream that is great to cool your feet off in. Of course the town cats feel that they run the place. But they will permit you to visit and enjoy the park during the day. :) Plum trees bloom in the spring. So much more I could say. I've lived here for 6 years and I continue to spend as much time as I can in this park, and I always see something new that makes me smile.
