Refused a carers ticket as I didn’t have a CEA card to Oxted. Both of my children are still classed as disabled. One in remission from cancer. The other Autism. And they don’t accept government legal proof of disability within 2 years like everywhere else does. Although a London Everyman branch was willing to accept it, so very contradictory!
Wouldn’t go back to the Oxted Everyman.
It’s ashame as I used to be a regular customer, but dismissiveness a lack of inclusiveness at this branch, and an particular unwillingness to check with her colleagues, and when I’ve said I never had this problem! - to argue with disabled children when we’ve been through enough and to feel disparaged - No thank you!!
Wouldn’t go back to the Oxted Everyman.

I do live an Everyman cinema. And this was the first time I visited the one in Oxted. It’s much smaller than others I’ve attended in other areas but, it didn’t disappoint. The usual comfy sofas and armchairs were available with sofa service too. I got here earlier than other friends in a party of 6 people and arrived with my weekend cabin case. The staff were extremely helpful and found space to safely store my carry case away. I dined here before the movie with 1 other friend and the bar choice of drinks and food was great with excellent service. Thanks for taking good care of me and all 5 of my guests too during the film.

We came today for an extra treat for my sons 15th birthday & once again left very impressed. You can’t beat the venue. We love the oxted and the Horsham branch in equal measure, but I think the Oxted building wins from a character point of view. The staff were lovely and greeted us as soon as we entered the bar area, it was so busy, there were no seats available but we were able to go straight through to the screen. We all ordered our lunch cocktails and drinks and they were delivered to our seats in time for us to eat before the film started. This is how cinema should be. Love it!

Came in for the 6pm air screening at Everyman oxted on the night of the 9th April, coming into the venue no one greeted us and we felt ignored by the staff members, after going to the bar to order drinks after we sat in the lounge area for well over 20 minutes we were told to sit down and someone will come over by who I presume was part of management, she was very poorly spoken and to be honest very rude, after sitting down a different lady came over to take our order who was equally rude and inconsiderate I believe she was a higher manager who didn’t want to listen to my concern I had, the food arrived which was well presented hot and tasteful but took a while to arrive to us,It wouldn’t recommend this cinema anymore which is shame the management clearly need more training.

Lots of vegan & veggie options & good drink options for a date night . Great service . Such comfortable sofa seats to watch a film . The bar area lovely too . Not a member but planning to be !

We have been twice this month. The cinema experience was great both times with very comfy seats and excellent sound. The food is very tasty, specially the sweet potato fries. Staff are friendly and very helpful.

I have been going to everyman Oxted for years I have even got a membership, the most recent time I went was to see black panther and as usual had an amazing build your own Sunday, and it was given to us very quickly.

Yes it's a bit more expensive, but totally worth it. We are complete converts to the Everyman cinema experience. Comfy seats, friendly welcoming staff and a great atmosphere.

Yes pricey but so worth it . We went as a birthday treat to see ‘ Black panther ‘ . The staff were friendly & attentive . Loved the strawberry 🍓 gin cocktail ! Comfy sofas . Food looked nice but we had already eaten locally . Will definitely revisit !

This is a really lovely cinema and has been great and bringing people back to the cinema after COVID. A good selection of films now there are 3 screens. One fairly large cinema upstairs (not great on disabled access I understand) and two smaller ones downstairs. Comfortable seats (sofas and single armchair seats) and in-seat waiter service for drinks and snacks. You can also have a (great!) burger or similar before the film. Very easy to get to from Oxted Station - parking by the cinema, however, is not always easy. The website is not very slick but it has improved over the last few years and I am sure they will continue to invest in it and their website helpline is very good. The tickets are not cheap (you always have the choice to go to a Vue cinema, for example, if you want cheap but you get what you pay for) and the drinks are a little two pricey in my view. Staff are top notch. Masses of very good restaurants locally to eat before or after the film if you want to really push the boat out.

Depends on the time of day. Parking on the street outside is free in the evening. During the day you can use the car park behind Boots off Amy Road or the Station Car Park. The latter is often full of commuter cars. Charges are reasonable.

The railway station is within 400 yards of the cinema and has a car park which is free after 10.30a.m. It is very busy with commuters during the day but after 6p.m. there is usually plenty of room.
In addition the side roads have free car parking after 6.30p.m.

I have just looked at booking some seats for "The Darkest Hours" at the newly refurbed cinema, and looking forward to the experience. But what's this - two concessionary seats plus online booking fee over £25! What? This after my very favourable review last year.
We have just been to see a latest release "The Florida Project" and the non concessionary seats booked online were £5.50 each. Admittedly this was in France where they are not particularly keen on movies. It was VO with French subs and half full in the afternoon similar to the time we wanted for The Darkest Hour. We would have seen it at this wonderful similarly refurbed cinema in Angers a largish city in the Loire, but we saw it was coming to Oxted only to discover seats at double the price.
How is this possible? It has deterred us going to see the movie. We were hoping that this, our local cinema, would be offering us more variety and less popular movies, eg foreign language and Sundance movies, perhaps for which we would have paid extra. But for a film on general release £12 a seat is OTT. I tried to find some "standard" seats and non could I find.
Not bothered about lounger chairs and all the flummery I am interested in Movies and want to see them at a cinema. So, it looks like the BFI for us or wait for the DVD or streaming.
Any answers please.

Everyman cinema is not your usual run of the mill cinema. So you would expect to pay more for a quality experience. If you are not interested in plush seats, modern bar and meal options all under one roof, perhaps a 'standard' cinema venue would suit you better. Hope you enjoy the film.

Do they allow the food to be eaten at the sofas while watching the film at this Everyman Oxted cinema? Can you take your own snacks/drinks/food?

Food is served to the sofas until the film starts so you can eat while the film is running but you cannot order any more. I would imagine you can take your own sweets etc but not hot food or drinks. I suggest you confirm this with the Cinema. I had a pizza and beer and both were excellent.
Have you reopened after refurbished?

Does Sandy still work there as the chief projectionist ? I worked with Sandy as a trainee projectionist at the Astor Cinema high street Bromley in the early 1970s then again at the Ace 1 2 3 Sevenoaks in the 1980s....... David GILES : )
