The lunch options we chose turned out to be uninspiring & expensive - wish we'd eaten at home. Boring salad with iceberg lettice - a few other leaves would have been good, together with boring coleslaw & one of the jacket potatoes had black bits in it.

This is my second visit with my daughter, but we were unable to
visit the house first time round as the tours were fully taken .
our tour of the house did not disappoint , as it is a beautiful,
historic home filled with treasures. My only comment being that the
lengthy information given by the guides took up so much time that
we were almost unable to look at fully or admire the lovely items
on display in each room. Apart from this, we enjoyed our visit .
We are rather fond of the lovely cattle grazing in the grounds.
Also the tearoom had an amazing choice of cakes, and all staff
we’re very pleasant.

This hidden gem of a privately owned historic house and gardens is only open on Wednesday and Saturday’s in the summer months. The guided tour was exceptional and full of interesting historical facts. They also have four Canaletto paintings which are magnificent. Take the time to visit and you will not be disappointed.

get there or book early for the house tour-really worth the extra ....£2 -unbelievable value. Not only a very well stocked walled garden with amazing vegetables and greenhouses but an amazing house full of treasures-and I am not including the guides, who were not 'stuffy', very personal and great delivery of information.
They also have a great tea room with outside seating. Service a little pedantic and the tea quality very weak but you do get a large pot with extra hot water-which you couldn't use as the tea was too weak to start with! Good price and comfortable seating.
Signage to main car park is not very clear as there is a small park as you enter on the left for about 10 vehicles and if this sign is obstructed-as it was yesterday it would be easily to miss the directions to follow the drive to the main car park. Suggest this sign be re-positioned on the opposite side of the gateway.
This venue is vastly under priced.

Very interesting guided tour of the house, which could be improved by a little less referring to notes and opportunities for the less able to sit at various points. The gardens are ok but the view is lovely.

Twice we’ve tried to visit this place. SatNav directs you to the gate, which was shut, but the website says they’re open. Parked at the car park the other end of the estate. Gates across paths and poorly kept paths. Other walkers said, don’t bother continuing, the path is slippery and steep and the tea room is shut

I came here once ten years ago.
The house is worth exploring and there is a lovely tea room to visit as well onsite. A walk around the scenic grounds is a must do too. Taste the locally made titsey apple juice in the tea room on top of that. You must even take some photos of the grounds in addition on a walk and look around properly. If time and weather permits, take a picnic blanket and some picnic food in a hamper for your own personal consumption.
Try the scrumptious cakes at the tea room on top of that. Recommended if you are in the area.

Lovely scenic and picturesque grounds , garden and house . Lovely tea room as well . You can pay for just Garden entrance which might suit those with children . Try the local ‘ Titsey apple juice ‘ in the tea room . So beautiful walking around . Would visit again !

Stunning location and grounds. Beautiful gardens to wander around and lots of interest. Shame about the rumbling noise of the M25. Did not go into house - another time. Could do with some more loos though which ran out of water to wash hands.

I don’t think so. We went on the guided tour of the house and then ate tea and cake in the cafe without having made a reservation.
I want to know if this place is open tomorrow Monday bank holiday?

Apparently opening, but could be very muddy. Quite a steep grassy slope to lake, take care if going with anyone vulnerable who may slip.

Hi Ann. I am the tour guide supervisor and housekeeper at Titsey Place. I do remember your visit here and the fact that you were not happy with the tour guide repeatedly offering you a chair. I am very sorry if this caused you distress. It is our aim to ensure our visitors are comfortable in the house and we offer portable lightweight chairs to all groups that visit the house and particularly to people who use walking aids of any kind. The chairs upstairs just behind the rope are there for this use as well as the chairs downstairs. I can assure you that the books in the library are real and, indeed, are read by the family and their guests. Once gain please accept our apologies for any distressed caused to you as our intentions were quite the opposite.
