Appalling venue, asked if I spoke english and when I said yes was told it was a private party and to leave. Beyond rude nasty faced woman on a total power trip. Classless.

Very discriminatory against tourists. We spoke in English originally, and the bouncers were extremely condescending in telling us that we are not on the guest list. He was fully lying, telling us that only staff could get on the guest list. When one of the group that speaks Portuguese asked for more details in Portuguese, the bouncer stumbled in his lie and couldn’t even get proper words out. Overall, this place ruins nights.

The first visit to LuxFrágil had both positive and negative aspects. Since I was standing in front of the door with a female companion and we were there relatively early, getting in was no problem. The big crowd seems to come in around 03:00am. To go home again 3 hours later....
The club itself offers something for every taste. Different dance floors, a nice roof terrace and a great sound system. However, the prices are a bit exorbitant. More appearance than reality.
I doubt very much whether I will visit this place again.

Absolutely horrible place, they discriminate everyone in the entrance. No reason why they let you in or not! Once in… … is just quite boring place… so disappointing. Get new bouncers and DJ’s!!

Great club, very fun night. Mixed group of guys/girls from London, arrived around 12.30am in two groups of 4 and got in without any issues - we did make sure to know who was playing but werent asked. It’s a very unique venue and amazing outdoor balcony overlooking the water! Filled out around 2 but still space to have a big dance

Only techno music, if you don’t like techno music, don’t come here!!!!!!!! They even have two dancefloors, but it’s techno everywhere….

Basically you can only get in if you are invited. We waited in the que and were told we are not welcomed. Well dressed with a money to spend… one think i say i’m not willing to do that again…

Don't bother with this dump if you're visiting Lisbon. Their ultra restrictive, arbitrary door policy means that you'll just waste time and money going there only to be turned away. My husband and I are a queer couple who were dressed well, not drunk at all, and very respectful, and we were still turned away from this club for no reason at all. Many places online, including Google, list this as an LGBTQ+ friendly club. Make no mistake about it: this is absolutely untrue. Speaking with our concierge, a Lisbon local, he says guys are turned away from the club all the time simply for being guys. How is that LGBTQ+ friendly to turn away two queer men?
Also, we were there well after midnight on a Friday night and it was still clearly very dead. This is a failing club because of their absurd, discriminatory door policy. Don't waste your time.

I’m a black female. I’m just wondering if it’s okay for me to go to this club ? I plan to learn Portuguese for this particular reason, if I’m not allowed in or asked to pay a ridiculous price will it be based solely on the colour of my skin or will it be because I’m English speaking? Will I wear foundation a couple of shades lighter or?

One in our group was black and he didn't have to pay anything exstra or had any trouble getting in:) Our experience of this club was quite nice, actually. We were all English speaking foreigners. Go as yourself. Theres absolutely nothing wrong in being black and if someone tells you otherwise, go spend your money somewhere that deserves them:)

I am from Ireland and am soon heading to Lisbon and would love to go to Lux. I've heard bad stories about tourists getting into this club and would appreciate if anyone had any tips regarding how to dress and how it would be best to approach getting in. I'm in a group of 2 and plan to go on a Thursday. Thanks!

Hi, I'm going to Lisbon next weekend for a hen do, 8 girls from London. Have read lots of bad reviews of Lux and Urban beach and we want to avoid any nasty staff and overpriced entry. Does anyone recommend any good nightclubs that we can go to instead of these places? we are into commercial house, drum and base music. Thanks!

Hi,
if you get there (Lux) early and dress nicely you will get in. The club might be empty at first but it does fill up pretty quickly.
I did get in without any trouble and did not experience any nastiness from the staff.
I heard that Incognito is nice but it's Indie music not drum and base. I would still attempt and try Lux first... I went in around 11 pm. BUT- If you get there drunk and start showing off then there is a risk of increased entry fee I am afraid.
